Corporate Governance and Stakeholder Engagement

The robust corporate governance system ensures that the company's business practices are carried out in a responsible and ethical manner. It serves to protect the interests of our shareholders as well as other stakeholders that have interactions with our company.

The changes in the ownership of the company (with new owners YTL Power international Berhad) have not altered the strong emphasis placed on corporate governance in the company. PowerSeraya is committed to maintaining high standards of corporate governance, professionalism and accountability to safeguard and create long-term value and returns to its stakeholders through the application of sound policies, practices and internal controls.

The following chapters, covering our corporate governance structures, have been updated following the divestment of PowerSeraya from Temasek Holdings to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTL Power International Berhad from 6 March 2009.
