In 2007 to 2008, we organised several events and initiatives to raise the environmental consciousness of our staff. We believe this helps them to understand the importance of protecting our environment so that they see purpose and meaning in the mitigation measures the company has put in place to minimise our impact on the environment. We see ourselves playing an important role in educating our employees who in turn will become environmental advocates to their families and the community they live in.

The responsibility of raising the awareness of environmental issues for staff of PowerSeraya and its subsidiaries rests with the Environmental Department. The formation of a Green Swat team in one of our subsidiaries Seraya Energy further complements the role of the Environmental Department in organising environmental events for our staff. The table below shows several of the events that were organised during the reporting period.
