In a bid to Make A Difference (MAD) for the environment, PowerSeraya has signed up with WWF to show support for Earth Hour 2009. Our company will be switching off our office lights and using natural lighting, during our own Earth Hour on Friday for 60 minutes from 11am, a day before the official Earth Day on 28 March 2009.

This year, PowerSeraya is organising an Earth Hour Talk concerning eco-office practices at our corporate office in Harbourfront Tower, followed by energy efficiency games for employees during lunch time.

In addition to raising awareness for the fight against climate change, PowerSeraya will also rope our customers from Seraya Energy into this call to action by rallying them to observe lights-off as well. It estimates that the simple action of lights-off during lunchtime for a year could potentially avoid 22,000 kg of carbon dioxide emissions from PowerSeraya’s corporate office alone.
